I was in Zamboanga City when this happened. So I missed out on this. I am not It was told that despite the heavy downpour in Manila a number of people went. The San Mig Light Party All Night goal was to celebrate San Mig Light as the beer of club partying.
And it seems to have worked. Why?
Aside from the San Mig Light Beer, there were celebrities, contests and prizes and San Mig Light Beer.
The party at SMX provided a number of interesting things to patrons of the clubbing scene. San Miguel pulled out all the stops for this party: (i) bringing DJ Matt Darcy from the UK along with Malaysian DJ John Boy and Filipino DJ Karl Ty; (ii) local celebrities and endorsers like Ding Dong Dantes and Marian Rivera were there; (iii) Prizes – cash and items like LCD cellphones were raffled off. (iv) and a whole number of things, Like:
Inter-University DJ Competition. Competing for the top prizes were students from Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines Diliman, La Salle College of St. Benilde and Mapua Institute of Technology. And the first prize winner got receive P35,000 cash, a gig in White Avenue in Tomas Morato Quezon City and a free party package from San Mig Light, while the next best DJ won a cash prize of P15,000.
Other competitions included a Dance Off Competition where the last man or woman clubbing won Twenty-Five Thousand Pesos.
And I hear there seems that the party is still going on or will happen soon in the following places and dates:
